Simply drop the following code onto any webpage. It's that easy.

Example: Submit an alternative URL to be Bumped instead of current webpage.

If you'd like to use a specific URL from a different webpage, or have user-specific or session data in your URL, just change the code like this to assign the Bump This button to use a very specific version of the URL:

Replace WEBSITE_URL, with the URL that you want to use. Don't worry about URL-encoding it, our code will do that for you. For example:

http://example.com/yourstoryur/storypagedetails.html

This method will allow you to have a number of Bump This buttons on the same page of your site. Remember, the above two examples will also work to submit the page if the content hasn't yet appeared on SiN2.0.

Example: Change the design of the button

To change the background of the buttom to blend with your site, or make the buttom smaller and more compact, we have provided three visual designs displayed below. Either of the following options will allow you to alter the visual appearance of your button:

The sin_bg option can take any valid CSS color and is used only to change the background color around the outer edge of the button. If omitted, the default color is white.

The sin_skin option controls the look of the button. If omitted the button defaults to a standard Bump This button. If specified as 'compact', a smaller (22x22) graphic is used that better fits lists of links. This 'compact' skin’s reduced size does not facilitate a bump button, but will alternatively designate whether to take the user to a submit page, or to the SiN2.0 posting about the story. The score of the applicable URL is overlaid on top of the small SiN2.0 icon.

If specified as 'icon', only the small SiN2.0 icon is displayed (like 'compact', but with no vote count). It also provides the story’s current vote count when the cursor hovers over it.
