Alpha Red’s Shady Dealings Lead to Bankruptcy

Web hosting provider Alpha Red has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It sounds like the company has been having a rough time for awhile now and files with about $10 million in debt, $826,000 owed to the IRS. The company is also involved in a lawsuit with Microsoft for using shady tactics and tricking customers into buy needless software.

Government Awards Free Porn-free Broadband

The federal government has released access to a new spectrum of broadband service, and is licensing only those providers who promise to develop such services without porn or other obscene material on them. I am somewhat surprised that the adult community is not up in arms at the prospect of the government possibly pushing out other ISPs with a free service that is by definition, anti-pornography.

Airlines Take Porn Issue Seriously

While the airline industry initially did not take the issue of in-flight porn as anything more than a side-effect of offering broadband internet on their flights, now that the trade unions have taken an interest, each airline has been forced to create a specific policy for handling content accessed during travel.

Which Airlines Offer Porn?

With the recent launch of broadband internet services on most major airlines, the issue of whether an airline filters out porn website has become a hot topic in the world of air travel. Among those that block adult sites are American Airlines and Delta, while Air Canada and Alaska still provide unfettered access.
