There are blowhards and then there is Carly Fiorina. Who is she, you ask? Just read John Paczkowski's rather amusing article. You'll get a wonderful picture of who this douchebag with delusions of potency AND grandeur is. What's even worse, this douchebag has a vagina. Now, she intends to run for California Senator. God save us all!
A new bill has been proposed that would place federal cybersecurity under the jurisdiction of the White House. It would also call for new regulations and standards, along with the monitoring of private networks vital to national infrastructure. The newly created National Cybersecurity Adviser position would have the power to shut down entire networks, including those of private companies.
Assuming President Bush signs the PROTECT Our Children Act of 2008, S. 17 as planned, ISPs will shoulder the responsibility of policing 'hash marks' of known child pornography content.
The federal government has released access to a new spectrum of broadband service, and is licensing only those providers who promise to develop such services without porn or other obscene material on them. I am somewhat surprised that the adult community is not up in arms at the prospect of the government possibly pushing out other ISPs with a free service that is by definition, anti-pornography.
Eight years ago, many Democratic voters in Florida made a huge mistake when they assumed their votes didn't matter and it ended up costing our country dearly- particularly in the areas of first and fourth amendment protections.
Looks like Joe Francis is making headlines again and this time he has a partner in crime. Francis and Larry Flynt are asking Congress to allocate $5 billing for an adult industry bail out. Even though they have admitted that the industry isn’t actually in any financial danger, they feel sex is much more important to the American people then cars.
The World Wildlife Foundation has apparently turned down multiple attempts by the creators of Fuck for Forests to donate contributions made to the site to the well-known non-profit. And per this writer's comment that naked women are not the best way to save the environment, I would reply that it's not the worst either.
This reporter makes an interesting analogy between the political mudslinging of presidential candidates on an election campaign and the experience of watching hotel porn. One of the more interesting reflections I've ever read on porn's role in society, and I certainly wasn't inclined to enter political blogging after reading this take on the industry; it's really nasty.
This nutty politician running for some meaningless seat in a meaningless district in somewhere in Arizona seems to feel that using auto-dialers to tell people that his opponent is against porn filters in public libraries. Despite being completely annoying and likely hurting his cause, he's also inadvertently told every kid in his district where to find free porn.
