In early June of this year SiN2.0 posted on the story of Pricewert being taken out of commission by the FTC for allegedly participating in the distribution of spam, child porn, and other harmful electronic content. Now customers, who's only crime was being a client, are really feeling the sting of this action as they are steadily losing money everyday.

The FTC is planning to put the smack down on bloggers who review or promote products while being compensated. The new guidelines would allow the FTC to go after bloggers and the companies that compensate them, over false claims or failure to disclose conflicts of interest.

The FTC announced that it shutdown Pricewert, a San Jose, Calif. ISP that allegedly participates in the distribution of spam, child porn, and other harmful electronic content. According to the FTC's complaint, Pricewert recruits and conspires with criminals seeking to distribute illegal and harmful electronic content over the Internet.

The FTC says they may take official steps in forcing internet entrepreneurs to protect users’ privacy. Basically the FTC wants Internet business clarify their policies & procedures. If not, they would be willing to regulate governing privacy policies and terms of use. Great, just want we need- the government forcing more rules on us.

The Federal Trade Commission has won a victory over one of the largest international spam operations in the world, when it won an injunction last week to shut down HerbalKing. Among other transgressions cited in the case, HerbalKing is charged with spamming, false advertising, and unlawful operation of a pharmacy for its tactics of advertising 'natural' sexual enhancement drugs.
