Britain's Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, is launching a personal attack on prostitutes in the UK with ambitions to leverage her campaign against brothels for advancing her political career. While her moves to clean up Britain's paid sex industry may be popular amongst those who hold their moral impunity above God, for the 80,000 or so prostitutes who face losing their jobs, Smith's proposed policies seem rooted in idealism rather than pragmatism.
