Two high-profile cases have been brought in a Los Angeles Superior Court and Federal court respectively have been levied against strip club owners in the LA area. The coordinated suits allege that strippers are not simply 'contractors', and therefore should be given such benefits as minimum wage, worker's compensation, and other on-the-job benefits offered to employees.

But if strippers just bank on their wages, they won't have any incentive to perform illicit sexual services! (and does anyone really just go there to watch?)
