The FCC has ordered Comcast to stop interfering with downloads based on user's browsing habits and personal details, a process known as "deep packet inspection". While no fines have been levied in tandem with the warning, Comcast has promised to comply with the request while it tests a new system that should be ready by the end of the year, and has 30 days to explain how it will manage its network of over 14 million subscribers in the future.
