China promised it would allow the BBC and other international news websites to be accessed during the Olympics, but has not eased censorship on these information channels. Interestingly, soft core porn has been found in the government monitored book stores within the Olympic Village, making it possible for athletes to engage in light porn, but not get accurate news reporting on the Olympic events.
