A ruling handed down by the Philadelphia-based Third Circuit Court of Appeals in relation COPA (Child Online Protection Act), stated that the law "cannot withstand a strict scrutiny, vagueness, or overbreadth analysis and thus is unconstitutional". The adult industry has been heavily burdened by some record-keeping measures required by this law, and has fought vigorously to win this milestone legal victory.
