A few weeks ago, a well-circulated report on the Internet by an unheard of group called the "Adult Internet Market Research Company" claimed that government stimulus checks were promoting porn sales. Another blogger countered this statement by pointing out that the facts bolstering these claims were totally unfounded. Whether one party is right or wrong is not as interesting as noting the amount of traffic garnered by each side that took part in this almost completely unfounded debate, and the tremendous effect that this linkbait had in generating traffic for all parties involved.
