Amidst allegations of rampant piracy, a federal judge has ordered YouTube to hand over user data pertaining to what people have downloaded and viewed online. The decision stems from a $1 Billion copyright infringement lawsuit brought against the file sharing network by Viacom, which claims YouTube has not done enough to prevent the distribution of illegally copyrighted material on the popular network.
