Lipstick lesbians, long scorned by the gay community as 'fake' and mainstream, have made a dramatic comeback in New York's club scene. The re-emergence has been particularly noticeable in clubs that cater specifically to this audience, such as Eden, Starlette, Stiletto, and Girl Nation. I, for one, am glad to see them on the rise again, even if there's no play in it for me.
