I marvel at how porn companies do surprising things to market themselves. In this case, an adult company releases a non-porn short film that the more open-minded populace can see. This is an ingenious way to introduce exclusive talent and make people search for their more hardcore content. According to the release, the short film will do the film festival rounds and the producers hope to get more mileage out of it.
My only concern though is that anyone interested to this kind of thing may already have known the company and the kind of content they produce. The pornstars are well-known and highly regarded. But the novelty of them appearing in a somewhat mainstream role might pique everyone's interest, but I am not sure if this will really generate any long-term interest revenue-wise. The good thing is it won't be too much of a hard sell, that's for sure.

That's an interesting id and seems like it would work better then some of the lame marketing attemps showing up on You Tube.
