I guess someone from PayPal saw a good thing when they see one. The once conservative electronic money issuer PayPal has now began running with the heathen: online gaming, that is. In an Online Casino article, Paypal has started to make themselves available as a payment processor in online casinos in Europe. Though it is likely when Paypal would eventually cross the continent in North America, there is speculation that PayPal is repealing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) that it helped create in the US.

The recession makes financial institutions do weird things. Online gaming in the UK and other European countries have been quite lucrative of late. They would be stupid to ignore it. Especially if they want something rosy to appear on their dotted line for a change.

Hopefully, they reconsider and eventually open their doors wider to online porn as well. Cross fingers.
