Even in the face of slumping profits Nevada brothels are still wanting to be taxed. Nevada is currently the only state to have legal brothels and also in a position to have one of the only businesses lobbying for greater taxation. With taxation the brothels are hoping for better representation from the state. With the budget crisis every state is facing I'm surprised Nevada wouldn't take up this offer, hell why aren't other states taking up this profit making idea?

Well how profitable is it really since brothels are also getting hit by the recession.
I don't know how "profitable" it is necessarily but it is money in the bank for the state if they start taxing the brothels like they do every other business. Plus even though the brothels have seen a decline during this recession, some as low as 20% others as high as 70%, they are still are making taxable income.
