Microsoft Thinks Search Engines are a Matter of Semantics

Microsoft has confirmed it is testing a new search engine called Kumo. What makes this search engine so different from any other is it’s based on semantics- to understand human language usage and relationships between words. They are hoping this will reduce the amount of time people spend searching online. I wonder... People for the most part don't like change and tend to be set in their way, so would they be willing to make the switch to something so different?
