Being slutty in front of the camera does pay off! In a recent study made by the UK periodical Newsbeat, more and more women around the world are resorting to webcam modeling as a way to earn money. Market analysts also see the success of this burgeoning secret industry as the webcam market grew from £730m in 2006 to £1.1bn in 2008. Who would have thought that high tech skin trade would experience a Renaissance?
However, as typically optimistic of them, women activists are concerned that webcam girls are being forced to do things they don't want to do, for example live sex adult cams.
