MySpace is a cautionary tale of how stagnation can spell disaster for online businesses, especially in our industry. You just can't rest on your laurels. You have to keep getting better while being accessible to more people everyday.
If you don't work on your key strengths, people will stop coming. Without an active sense of self-improvement, people will stop coming. If there is no controlling factor in the site and you give people the impression that you no longer give a shit, people will stop coming. If the people you keep turns the place into a skanky version of Facebook and you don't do anything about, people will stop coming.
You don't need an executive to tell you why MySpace sucks right now.
